I dislike DayLight Savings. I am being generous with the word "dislike". Ok, I HATE Daylight Savings. The lawmaker that can do away with the practice should run for president. Just do away with daylight savings after we "spring " forward. I want the extra daylight in the summer and to just keep it going forward.
Yesterday I sorta hit the wall. Because of the practice of daylight savings I have not been sleeping well. I keep waking up an hour before the alarm and lie in bed. I should just get up, but I am warm and toasty and who wants to not be warm and toasty? Exactly!
Back to hitting the wall: The dogs drove me bonkers. They always come out with me to do chores. They were acting like wild bohemians ( what is that saying anyway?) and I could tell my fuse was short with them. I had to deliver some medicine to one of our horses and so I put Pip in the back of the gator. She jumped up in the bed of the gator, turned around and smacked me right in the face. She was trying to be close to me and over did it. ARRRGGGHHHHH! She was sorry though as you can see in the following photo.
Pip is a very sensitive dog. It takes very little correction to set her straight. She knew she had been a little over zealous and this is her "Sorry Boss" look.
Grizz and Aili were just wild, crazy, unruly teenagers. So they ran alongside the gator as I went to give Jazzy his medicine. They definitely needed to burn some energy.
Yes, I know they are adorable, but they can be a real pain in the rear end sometimes. LOL!
It was a beautiful morning ss I drove out to the where the horses were munching on grass. The short drive gave me a second to chill out and realize I was irritable because I hadn't been sleeping well and that I would get used to the time change and I will be ok. My horses are my calming balm. Just watching them munch on grass and giving them a rub helps lower my cortisol levels significantly. Not to mention there isn't much in this world better than the warm breath of my horse on my face. Ok, there are a few things better but I do love to feel my horses breath. Saddle leather! That is another wodnerful experience. Sorry, I am going a little weird with this post.
Isn't Jazzy handsome!!! He is 28 yrs old and needs a little medicine every day to help with his arthritis. He is retired and just enjoying hanging out and munching grass. He looks forward to his cookie every morning with his meds.
Yes, life is beautiful and I have much to be grateful for. Every now and them I do get a little frustrated with things. My family may say " Every now and then???" Hey ! I have red hair or at least I did before having kids! Now is it silver and well earned i must say!
SIDE NOTE: If there are a lot of spelling and grammar errors I am really sorry. I am testing out contacts, instead of eye glasses, and things are a bit blurry as I am getting used to the contacts.
Make it a good day and go rub noses with a horse. You will feel much better, trust me!
