The Ranch

Snow, poor choice of gloves, bees and helpful gadgets

Mother Nature

1 minute

We woke up this morning to this:

You cant really see it well but that is snow in the hills. It was a wet, rainy/snow mix this morning when I was doing chores.

I also picked the wrong gloves to wear outside to do  chores:

My hands were soaked!!! Lesson learned.

If I may ask, whoever ticked off Mother Nature could you please apologize and let her know we need a little sunshine in these parts? Heck! I will apologize and I don't even know what I did!

The weatherman says sunshine and 80 degrees this weekend is coming.  I will hold on to that thought and be grateful for the moisture. Fire season is right around the corner. And yes, that is a legitimate season here in Montana. Unfortunately.

In other news, my bees died, again. I am taking a break this year. I think the bees will thank me. I want to keep trying. I just need a season to regroup. The below photo is my frames from my hive. I have them setting out so the bees in the area can clean the frames up for me.

I know I can bee ( pun intended) a successful bee keeper, I just need to regroup.

I wanted to show this wonderful gift we received a couple of years ago from some dear friends of ours. They burned our logo for the ranch into a boot jack for us and I use it every day!!!

Thanks for reading this random post! My head is a bit foggy and cloudy. Kind of like the weather! Bring on the sun!
