The Latest Happenings on the Ranch

1 minute

WOW! I have not posted in a bit. This post will be catching you up on the happenings at the ranch. Or at least some fun pictures. I hurt my wrist and typing isn't the easiest. Please excuse any typos, grammar, misspelling, etc.

What to report on first? Our third oldest and second daughter returned from serving a mission for our church in Latvia!!! Best day ever and best hug! She is acclimating to being back in the states and feeling "normal" again. Her language skills are amazing. In all honesty, I have not idea what she is saying when she is speaking Latvian, but it sure sounds cool!

The animals have been doing well. Here are Jazzy, Medic , Mav in case you needed your horse fix for the day.

Moxie is in the way back. She wasn't real close but I liked the photo with the sun! LOL!

The chickens greet me every morning, waiting for their scratch that I throw out for them. They love the dried meal worms we mix in the scratch.

There has been a wildfire burning for over a week a few miles from the ranch. We are all safe and not in harms way. We have had a lot of smoke and the other day the wind picked up and sent a plume of smoke into the sky.

That is smoke, not clouds

The firefighters are working around the clock to fight the fire. We have had several planes flying over the ranch as they approach the fire and also retrieve water from a nearby lake. As of today it is about 20% contained and they are gaining ground. Be safe out there folks.

We also took a family vacation to Big Fork, MT and explored Glacier. It is in our backyard practically and it is gorgeous! Despite the park being really crowded we were able to enjoy the beauty and the mountain air. It is good for the soul.

With our daughter coming home from her mission it was time for family pictures as all the kids were home:

Ok, we actually got a decent one too.

I love these humans. They sure are a blessing. I will try to keep things updated a little more often.  Thanks for stopping by!
