It's been a little busy around the Ranch. Actually, not at the ranch, but we've been busy traveling all around! Here are some highlights:
MacGyver and I went to France! It is MacGyver's happy place
This is our fifth trip to France. We toured around Southern France and then headed back up to Paris a few days before our flight. It was a great trip and we loved our time in France as we always do. My french language skills are very poor. Bonjour and Merci are about the extent of my skills but I am learning. MacGyver has a knack for language and enjoyed talking with people. But after two weeks we had to come back to the ranch.
We moved our ranch hands into their new apartments for college in Utah and we took our oldest son to Hamilton to celebrate his upcoming birthday. We are getting a new ranch hand on the ranch too. More details to come. Our son was so excited to see this Broadway hit in Salt Lake City.
We came home to find Medic with some weird scabs on his back side. They have scabbed over and don't seem to be bugging him. Almost like he rubbed his side on a plant that he might be allergic too. We are keeping a vigilant eye on him.
We bought a diesel gas tank for the ranch. We have a lot of use for diesel gas and bit the bullet and bought our own pump and tank. MacGyver put it in three different spots before settling on this spot.
It is going to be nice to have and the good news I can reach the top to grab the handle! The other spots where MacGyver had put the tank I could barely reach! I am a shortie! A fact my children remind me of quite often because they feel like they were given the short end of the stick in the height department. ( pun intended)
Finally three of my kiddos, plus our extra soon to be ranch hand, all went to Washington with me to celebrate my step-dads 75th birthday. It was fun to be with family. Some we have not seen for a really long time. Too long. It was really wonderful.
it was really a great trip, but too short. I think I am going to go take a nap now. The miles we have travelled in the month of August have plum wore me out. I will catch you again after I catch some zzzzzz's
